Salam Aidilfitri dari kami untuk semua ahli keluarga dan sahabat handai di tanahair.
Seperti biasa, tiada gambar kami di Utusan Malaysia atau di mana-mana akhbar memandangkan ini kali ke 8 kali beraya di sini... (kasi can la orang-orang baru pulak hantar... hehe).
UK beraya pada Jumaat - sehari awal dari Malaysia. Kelam-kabut jugak dengan pengumuman last minute tu especially kaum ibu-ibu yang menjangkakan raya pada hari sabtu... banyak kuih raya belum dibuat jadi semua terpaksa pulun di saat-saat akhir...sampai nak pengsan.... sungguh meriahhh... (mummy: yeaaa.. riittee...  )

Went to Manchester to see Dr. Graham Leigh to discuss any opportunity to join their research group. Guess what... I never been to Manchester since I came to UK (in 1995). Somehow managed to go to Liverpool in 2003/4 but not to Manchester (although both cities are very close to each other). So this trip was my first official visit to Manchester.
We met new a friend, Faizal (Dr.) and his lovely family. He is doing a postdoctoral research there. He got 3 boys and I think Amalin 'fall-in-like' (if there is such term) to 'abang Haikil' so much (sampai taknak balik London... ).
We also met our old friend, Dzulkifle (bakal Dr. jugak very soon this year) and wife, Che Wan and kids who came all the way from Glasgow. Overall, it was a very short but a fun visit since I got to meet Faizal and Dzul at the same time.... and the visit also has changed my perspective on the city of Manchester itself (don't ask! haha...).
Oh, not to forget - we also met Arina (berry^boo) who is studying at Manchester University. She kindly lend me a book from her library (since I no longer have access to my library) and not only that, she gave away her 'broken' printer to me (which I later found out the faulty was due to 'empty ink cartridge'.. hihi!) Cheers!

Today is Friday - the only day I masuk kerja 1 hour earlier sebab nak ganti 1 hour extra break for Friday prayer (during afternoon break). Normal working hours is 9am - 5pm, so bila masuk pukul 8am memang tak ramai kat ofis... apart from John Daniels (Purchasing Manager) and Nick Elia (Contract Engineer). So you can imagine there is nothing much to do at 8am - nak call supplier/customer pun, diorang masuk 9am.
So here I am, uploading some photos - this time the photos evolved around my work place. I am working at the company which was established in 1954 as Designers, Manufacturers and Installers of Centralised Lubrication Systems for Grease, Oil, Air/Oil and Oil Mist Lubrication Equipment. I have been working here since 2005, joining as Technical Administrator - promoted to Product Engineer a year later and again promoted to Project Engineer 6 months after that. I dont think I will wait for the next higher post (Contract Engineer) sebab rasanya it will take sometimes and I might as well 'jump' to another 'ship' (if you know what I mean). still looking but not that agressive. May be will attack the job market again at the end of this year...

Another unplanned trip... this time to strawberry farm. Auntie Izah called around 10am and we decided to go after lunch time. Only one section of the farm with 'Christine Strawberry' is available for strawberry picking. But thats more than enough for us...

Easter Holiday - 2 weeks. Penat nak fikir aktiviti so that the 3 A's dapat buat something. Kali ni ke Science Museum - London.
It turned out to be a very good day with a lot of sunshine. Sempat juga pegi ke Hyde Park selepas tu tapi tak dapat round sangat sebab dah penat.

Cuti Easter - kami ke pantai Margate 2 hours drive from London untuk bermain pasir. Not so much choice here since most of other pantai are too pebbly...
